Optimizing Your Picture Quality on Viewsat

A remote button often ignored by VS users is the Color Button. This can vary depending on the Remote model. On some it may be the TEXT, HELP, COLOR button.
Many may have used it whereas others may not appreciate it can give you a better quality picture than you generally receive.
It is always automatically set to Default, but if you change the setting to Users, it has numerous adjustment that can help improve the...
Sharpness
Brightness
Contrast
2 Controls for Saturation.

On the Platinimum model the Sharpness control has 7 levels. For some strange reason it is best on my model at level 3. It may differ from model to model.
The Brightness and Contrast levels can also improve picture depth.

These various adjustments are not dramatic but for certain can give you a better quality than if it were left at Default.

Warning:
If you have ever done a factory default or have left the unit unplugged for any length of time, there is a very good chance that the Color control will revert to Default and should be reset again.
This is easy to forget if you have done one or the other and you may be depriving yourself of the best picture quality possible from your receiver.
