Viewsat Pro - How to Record 2 Shows at the Same Time
Awesome "discovery"!!!!! Recording 2 shows AT THE SAME TIME!!!

I made what I think was a great discovery, and XXXXXXXXX said it was news to him as well, so he told me to make a post to let every one know. So here goes!!!!

Even though the VSPro is a single tuner receiver, you can still watch one show, and record another on a different channel, AS LONG AS BOTH CHANNELS ARE ON THE SAME TP & BIRD. You can even record two shows at the same time, even if the shows overlap, or are on at the same time!

Take what I'm doing right now as an example. I'm recording two movies at the same time, and so far, it seems to be working fine.

I'm recording a movie on channel 321, which started at 3pm, and I'm also recording a movie on channel 329 which started at 3:30pm. Both of these channels are on the same TP, 12516, on sat 110.

The way I found out what channels were on the same TP was simple. Go to one channel, whichever one you want. Then press the TV PIP CHANNEL SORT button which is the button right above the GUIDE button. All of these channel that pop up on that list are on the same TP!!!!

So now, all you have to do, is look on those channels, and see if there is something on them that you would like to see, or record, while watching or recording the other channel.

As of right now, I only use this with the movie and PPV channels, so get something for when N3 hits. So here's a list of the movie channels that are on the same TP. These are DN channels...
