All channels have now switched to the new Nagra3 encryption which has NOT been opened as of now. We recommend that all members consider testing alternative method's, Such as Nfusion,K-Box,Sonicview an Conaxsat!!

Yeh, better just subscribe to dish and forget about the free tv, looks like its going to be a very long time before the break the code! I mean N3 has been around for some times and they have no progress on our recievers, they should have broken it by now.

Bad advice

Bad advice apeman, N3 has only been in the american stream for 9 months and as far as NO progress.....you must not be reading as much as you should. There has been quite a bit of progress on N3, in fact there are rumors of some channels opened for hours with test bins, now this may not sound like much but if one can open a channel for and hour, then one has a pretty good understanding of what is needed to reassemble the video/audio. No your VS will not work today, but saying it will never work so just set yourself on fire and jump off a cliff with stb in hand may be a touch harsh right now. If you need tv today, just subscribe or pick up an *** (internet key sharing) box and hook it to the internet for now. That is, as long as you feel comfortable hooking to the internet the whole time your wathcing tv, some people feel that their is a security risk with this method but it is entirly up to you.

Talking

It doesn't matter what box you have. The programming is gone for now. Why don't you people read what is posted and stop acting as if your box is just down momentarily and you need to fix it now. I have a Viewsat and 4 Coolsat boxes. The Coolsats have not worked since March, but I am not posting please help me. Let the coders work on a fix and leave them alone.

On the lighter side, the 9K has an excellent ota receiver. I'm getting local ota channels in 1080 with an aerial antenna.

It is what it is!

Just wondering

Can you hook an antenna up to the viewsat 9000hd and get your locals because I have a digital antenna if so can someone point me to the right direction on how to get it working?

I'm using a regular old fashioned tv antenna on a pole with the cable pluged into the ant plug on the back of the 9K. ( not one of those "special" digital antenna's they said you have to buy). After a terrestrial scan in my area I receive 23 channels, 3 in 1080 and one in 720, the rest in 480. That resolution depends on what each channel is broadcasting OTA.

It is what it is!
