Help with motorized setup

I have a 73cm dish,DNI USA motor and a Sonicview 4000.I am new to true FTA but have set up many other dishes.I watched several videos and have set up the system to spec and am having trouble.I have hit several sats but don't know what they are.One has 4 channels all called Azteca, one had one channel called PUP LINK that had some Arab guys on it,and of course I can hit Charlie's sats here and there and of course they are all scrambled.I have also hit a couple more but that had one channel or so on them one had a channel from Ohio Wbsn I think? I have been trying to hit the 123W but have had no success.I even Took the dish off the motor and mounted it on the pole and still no luck.I am in GA anyone know what sats I have hit and what the Hell! I need to do to get the 123W??????????

well this is one case where bigger is better.. how is view to the sky any obstructions ? from the top of the dish look parallel to your lnb if you have trees or building in the way you will lose signal. also the weather southwest of you plays a big part in it. it can be clear as a **** at my site and raining 30miles away and i get rain fad.

are you sure your SIGNAL is low, or do you mean quality? strength/signal is power out to the lnb, as where quality is how well you are receiving. BG

also check and recheck that your mast is dead nutz plumb and very very stable.
if it moves 2 degrees on a 3 foot mast, multiply time the distance to the sat and your hitting and missing by miles.

closest trees are 100 yds away.Everything is plumb.I tried to micro tweak the signal and it never got over 0% but it was just enough to get a picture.I got the motor and dish uesd.Maybe thats why they sold it?LOL

Well if you say that the "QUALITY" is 0, but you still get some picture, then something is wrong. Usually if you have strength but not quality it is either wrong settings or the dish is not pointed right. But you need around 40% quality or higher to produce any picture on digital. How is your strength/signal? It should be at least 75%.......is it? Also, recheck your settings again and again then try to adjust the dish. If you have more than 4 sats with good quality on the motor than you ARE on the arc, so alignment should not be an issue. Let us know how your strength/signals are. BG
