USB Drive Corruption Fix

For those that have drive corruption problems where SV will not recognize your USB drive anymore, plug your usb drive into your notebook or desktop computer USB port, go to My Computer from the start menu, select USB drive, hit right mouse button over drive icon, select properties, tools, error checking, scan now button. This will fix drive so SV will recognize it again and it does not lose prior files recorded.........

This is much easier than reloading bins........

Thumbs up usb fix
I had an issue awhile ago with my usb drive and this worked: turned off the receiver at the main power switch, then back on while it was booting up i had the usb stick in the slot, then repeatedly hit the menu button over and over. After it finished booting, the usb drive re-appeared and has been ok since.

Worked for me, dont know why... but it did.

Does this work for HD as well. I just moved HD from captive works 800 and sv 8000hd doesn't read my drive.

I was actually speaking of my HD with recorded movies from my CW 800. Trying not to loose those. It is plugged into the usb port on receiver.
