Presario f700 wireless?

Presario f700 wireless works sometimes and sometimes not. Light stays orange regardless of which position the switch is in,when light goes blue everything works fine. Any help with this problem?

What type of wireless router do you have?

Sometimes changing it to a different channel helps. By default most 2.4 ghz routers use channel 6 and so do cordless phones. That can cause these problems.

Anything I discuss on the subject is strictly hypothetical and in theory, and on an educational basis. I DO NOT test or condone any illegall activity.

Netgear router. I have coneccted to it 4 or 5 times over the last two weeks but only when the blue light comes on. I have a desktop running on it now (wireless) with no problems. Don't understand why wireless light cant be turned on or off. It has got to where it stays orange more than blue and I am not doing the switching it is doing it on its on.

Seems like lot of people having similar problem with this model. If your laptop is in warranty, I would recommend calling HP. If not, you might want to buy a usb wireless card to solve it for long term.
