i use dvd clone and can durn a movie in ten mins.go to dell.com and see if there is any driver updates that you can download.it seems as if there is something wrong with a driver

Smile Try This

what kind of format are you burning?, mkv, vob, avi, wma? I will recommend you to check your drive first, go to the manufacturer website and download the newest drive and firmware and after that try again, also try to get a tuneup in your system, maybe you have a lot of temporary files, cookies, junk in general, all these things will make your system slower, and my big recomendation is to burn the movie and delete it from your main hard drive.
Hope this will help in someway.
Cheers

ya you need to get more memory, also you might not have that good of a cpu right click on my computer then click properties, you should be under the Genral tab should tell you how much memory you have and what typ of cpu u have like AMD or intel , let me know what you have and we`ll see if you need to upgrade.

Hey again

In order for you to find out your computer model follow this steps:
click on start/all programs/accesories/systemtools/systeminformation.
in the system summary you will be able to see the model of your computer.
Looks like you need memory, make sure you get the right one, dell computers use low density memory sticks. did you try to clean your system?
