No I do not have DSL. I wish I did. I am too far away from everything to even get DSL. With the little knowledge I have with computers I think my modem may be going out. I will check on a new one and if cheap enough I will just change it. Thanks for all the great and heart warming replies...

just a thought
your modem isn't trying to connect automatically is it .check your network connections.

you can get modems pretty cheap, hell i think you can get them under $10
