Asking Questions

Asking Questions
asking questions Well it's time for a friendly reminder. Once again we see a lot of posting asking for help but little or no information.
Heres a little check list to look at before posting;

1. Read as much as you can about your equipment before posting. Look in each section for the stickies.

2. Know your equipment, dish, LNB/s, switches, STB and its manual.

3. If posting a question, do so in the right section. (PLEASE! No posting in files section at all, or the FAQs and Guides Section unless it pertains directly to the thread you are posting in.)

4. Include in your question the type of dish, LNB, switch and coax you are trying to setup. Also give your port Numbers and antenna settings (if any).

5. Tell us everything you have tried up to this point.

6. Explain in as much detail as possible what you are trying to accomplish.

8. Be sure and tell us what flash (bin) you are using or have tried.

10. Be sure and include the info on any channel lists you may have downloaded or if you scanned instead.

10. Explain exactly what is occurring and when it is occurring, if applicable.

11. Be patient! There are many people viewing, but it may take awhile to get your answers. Just because your thread has many views does not mean everyone knows the answer.

We all try to help the best we can, but you have to help us help you.

Thanks
