Coming soon to an account near you, temporary suspension!
For a few months now (since the death of n2), I've been witnessing a transition on these forums from helpful posts to, well, attacking, unnecessary, and hijacking posts. This is your only warning that this action will no longer be tolerated, and actions will be taken because of this in the (very) near future.
N2news is all about helping people out, not about attacking individuals, derailing threads, hijacking them, or anything like that. While, understandably, some may be frustrated that you can't see TV as you want right now, this is no excuse for this kind of action, and the forum rules still apply! A (quick) walkthrough on proper posting etiquette since it seems to be necessary:
From this point onward, any post that is deemed by moderators to meet any of those criteria will be given an 'infraction'. Get enough 'infraction points' and you will be given a temporary pass to the "readers only" group, where you will be able to be able to contemplate your actions with the ability to read threads and download attachments only. While I do realize this may be upsetting and frustrating to some, a good number of individuals are ruining what is a great site by hijacking and trolling in threads, which hasn't been acceptable since I came in over a year ago. If you DO see something like this, please, point it out to us by clicking on the report post icon (  ) and we will take action if necessary.Feel free to ask any relevant questions in this thread. Yes, you're right, it sucks that we have to take such drastic action. I hate being seen as a "heavy handed" guy, I love being seen as the nice guy, but constant warnings are being ignored, playing nice isn't getting us anywhere, it's time to start taking action.
This has been going on for a few months now, and the only way for it to stop is to effectively take action apparently. It's sad that action has to be taken, that people have to be treated like children, but, realistically I see no other option. TV show return dates

Does this mean if the thread topic was bs'ing or joking around it would be ok?
Or is it mainly if the thread starter makes a complaint? Also I think this is a great site with a great deal of knowledgeable people willing to help with whatever questions anyone might have and I support the crackdown and think that inlight of the blackout the admins and mods are doing a good job.

I have tried, in the past, to suggest this sort of thing because I personally can't stand all the bashing and general bad mouthing that has gone on since N3. No one wanted to listen, most responses were, "gee, I get a kick out of all the arguing...." This is a great site, and I'd like to see it stay that way. Maybe now folks will think twice about what they say and the way in which they say it. Another suggestion that I will make (again) is to make threads that are reported rumors to be closed from the start. These sort of threads just invite unpleasant discussion. Thanks again, I hope this will help to clean up the unpleasant sort of "discussions" that have been going on as of late......

Make no mistake, there are also many frequent posters here who are great and present everyone with helpful content.
