Absolutely not. The babes section is staying right where it is.
The reason for this change is to address what a number of individuals in this thread have already commented on, which is the individuals that feel the need to trash, attack, and hijack threads for no reason other than they want to. It may be "funny" to them, but we'll see how "funny" they think it is when they get a free pass to the reader's group.

Please do not PM me directly for support, I know nothing about receivers, I'm merely the local VB guru..

This is your only warning that this action will no longer be tolerated, and actions will be taken because of this in the (very) near future.

N2news is all about helping people out, not about attacking individuals, derailing threads, hijacking them, or anything like that. While, understandably, some may be frustrated that you can't see TV as you want right now, this is no excuse for this kind of action, and the forum rules still apply!

A (quick) walkthrough on proper posting etiquette since it seems to be necessary:
  1. If your post is not on topic, don't post it.
How do you determine if the post is on topic? Ask yourself this very simple question:

  2. If your post is going to divert discussion from the original post of the thread, don't post it.
  3. If your post is just a "fluff" post (ie: it contains no real content), don't post it.

From this point onward, any post that is deemed by moderators to meet any of those criteria will be given an 'infraction'. Get enough 'infraction points' and you will be given a temporary pass to the "readers only" group, where you will be able to be able to contemplate your actions with the ability to read threads and download attachments only.

While I do realize this may be upsetting and frustrating to some, a good number of individuals are ruining what is a great site by hijacking and trolling in threads, which hasn't been acceptable since I came in over a year ago. If you DO see something like this, please, point it out to us by clicking on the report post icon () and we will take action if necessary.

Feel free to ask any relevant questions in this thread.
TW,

Personally, I see no harm in a little laughter here and there; life would be very boring with out it. I guess it is odvious the majority of the members do not appreciate a little humor. I certainly do respect your position as the main administrator and your responsiblity as such. I will certainly do my best to adhere to your request. A quick question; I know there have been unappropriate posts in the wrong sections; I am guilty; no doubt. Would it be acceptable to make those posts in the babes/ and or fun and jokes section?

Mike - aka Mr. Mikey.

Temp Suspension?

Thanks for your warning.
I read your message two times and am lost as to what you were saying.
I have not even posted a single message since a I became a member. I tried to contact management once to change my log in name.
This leaves me not knowing what was the mistake I did if I did something wrong.
PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT MISTAKE DID I COMMIT?

Thanks
Missak

MIssak,

No, you did not do anything wrong. What the Adminstrators of the site were telling us, is that we need to stop posting unappropriate messages in the wrong sections and keep the subject matter to the matter at hand and not deviate.

I am not 100 percent sure, but if you go to the helpdesk section above; they will be able to handle your log in name changes.

I hope this helps.

Mike.

There's nothing wrong with laughter, we all do it, but when that takes away from the thread itself, that is wrong. Just because you want to pick something apart or make fun of someone, or something, doesn't mean it's appropriate.

Inappropriate posts are still inappropriate posts. There's nobody saying you can't post threads that are relevant in the appropriate forum, and there's nobody saying you can't reply to them. What we're saying, and what has been said throughout this thread is this:

If it fits the topic of the thread, then by all means, post it. If it doesn't, keep it to yourself. Simple enough?

Topics and threads are getting derailed left and right, help is not able to be provided because of that, and it's just not fair to people coming here looking for that help. If you want to have fun, joke around, do it in your own threads, providing they're in the appropriate forums and follow the forum rules.

Got that M1! I know you are reading this, love your humor, but you know what; we all need to chill.

TW,

One more question, sorry, I am sure you are busy tonight. If someone posts an thread in the wrong section asking for my response; would it be OK to respond or not?

Mike;

I just reread your message, I disagree, Anyone who has come to this site for help, I (we) have tried to help, as well as many others; especially the kidders, I know you know that as the Ad. Yes - subjects do get out of hand; but when it come to serious business we are always here to help!

Mike.

Just wanted to get that on the record

Bashing posts...

.... I don't have anything against controlling the language of the Forum, as far
we are warned in advance of what we can say and what NOT...
...but what about if SOMEONE from the Administration, send a "bashing or bad
mouthing e-mail to a Subscriber???...WHAT YOU WILL DO ABOUT???
