DISH Annouces N2 Cutoff Dates

Remember, these are the planned cutoff dates, a bunch of things could extend these a bit.

Also everyone must have a working G3 card in every receiver and it turns out that some receivers don't work with G3 cards - these must be swapped out:

3750
351
5000
5500
6000
6000U
721
921
942
JVC IRR

The cutoff date for Adult, Internationals, HD and PPV is 03/04.

The cutoff date for movie channels is 03/11.

The cutoff date for everything else is 04/08.

I don't see how they can get all the receivers changed out and new G3 cards to everyone by 04/08 and Charlie told the investors it would be fall however DISH stock has started going up based on the projections to get the system secured so I guess anything is possible but that date doesn't seem to likely.

I don't believe it either. But they got too much money and investors behind it so they gotta show something for now.

someone needs to explain these dates to me after i took a closer look these dates one is for 04, next 2011, next is april of last year, maybe i seeing things LOL!!!

The cutoff date for Adult, Internationals, HD and PPV is 03/04. (i don't think they will make this one.) hehehe

The cutoff date for movie channels is 03/11.

The cutoff date for everything else is 04/08. (i don't think they will make this one also) hehehe

I know it's very hard to believe that but D N has been talking about full N3 implementation by the end of first quarter of 2009. Is it possible? I, PERSONALLY, do not believe so but they have to keep pounding everyone's head so they can keep the investors monkey off their back. BUT again we just have to wait and see and time will tell the truth.

After talking to you BB... now it was brought to my attention that the info in the first post is over a year old and it has to do with exchanging old (Aladin) Smart Cards in customers receivers for new (G3) Smart Cards. It does not pertain to North America N2.
