another kbox prodigy nubbie

read alot however unable to save ip address in network setting whenever i type numbers in and hit save. then exit when i go back the ip adress is not there i tried on dhcp n static always go back to dhcp, screen reads at the bottom module is not connected. also is gateway and ip address the same numbers. you guys are great. I am now using the infusion nova as a paper weight. thanks alot in advance for your help hope i gave enough info. peace

Power off your box from back. Pull the hub out and let it sit for few minutes. Power on the box from back. Wait for 2 minutes so it can cycle thru diagnostic and boot routine. Power it off from back. Wait for 1 minute.

Now plug back your hub to the serial port. Power on the box. Use USB port to activate your hub if not done yet.

Seems like serial port on box has some issue of dsr/dtr and hub does not get recongnized sometimes.

did that a few times i saw moon3 was having the same problem however mine is still not working thanks alot for ur help u guys r great.

now on tv screen says connection please wait any other suggestions thanks in advance. I am not trying to be annoying just need some help. thanks

How is your box connected to net?

u might laugh at this but i thought that the hub was a wireless network connection i am not a computer wiz

No problem, you will need a cat5 cable to connect it thru router and it should work.

i will go to radio shack tomorrow and ask for cat5 cable because i have no idea what that is thanks again for ur patience and help i really do appreciate you. thanks for not laughing at me. will let u know tomorrow how it work out. thanks again gskondal.

This is a network cable you would use to connect your PC to router for internet.

i have the cat5 cable hook to my lynsys and **** still saying connectng please wait is there something that I should do with pc? stb still won't hold the ip address after i exit and go back to network settings says module not connected again thanks .
