going back to the picture you posted man those (fargin) trees give you just a small window... have you tried 129w? see i wouldn't think its cable accept from sw to (linear side) lnb. because the circular is working. just my thoughts...i hope my johnny Dangerously reference doesn't get me banned.

you say you don't have any linear sats? If so, then it is either the lnb or the switch. You can eliminate the switch by removing it and connecting only the linear. The thing that gets me is that you can get sats like 119w which is very close to 123w, and even though 119 is more powerful and circular, you should still get 123 to some degree. I would blame the lnb myself. trees to present problems many times but even in the worst case, you still get some quality.....even though it may not be enough to give you a picture. Check the switch, and if ok, then ditch the lnb for the real-deal. And then you can worry about trimming the neihbors trees if need be. ( I can't seem to spell "neihbors") hmmm? BG

I will get a new shot of the path when I change the switch out later. I got midevil on the trees yesterday I am not too sure it isn't operator error. I am having some trouble navigation the installation menu of this HD unit. When I try to set up the DiseqC settings I am not sure if it is saving them. The USALS setting and the DiseqC setting are in the same place. We will see later when I get up there and take the switch out of the picture.
Thanks once again

that much is true for sure BB, My cw's have the antenna setup menu and one would think that when you exit that menu that the selections would be saved....WRONG! I have to go into "channel manager" and choose what sats go to what ports of the switch as well as setup for my usuals info. I did not realize you bought a new invacom quad, so I doubt it is your lnb.......wow, what a turnaround! But I still wonder about settings and switches. Like TH. (its hard to type, so your TH for now on bro)...so like TH. says, I wish we could just go over there and scratch our heads together, but Canada does not like me anymore. I had a "tresspasing" felony that was a misunderstanding with a job that had an alarm and the owners could not be reached for a week. It was cleared as soon as they were reached but Canada still has it in there network for some reason that I am a felon, even though there was never a conviction, but I hope there is a statute of limitations in Canada because it is a beautiful place to live and every local (except the french ones) have been super nice to me in the past.

I tried to hit 119 with a single dish and nailed it. Must be something in my set up I guess. There is still plenty of warm weather to allow me to get it going. I sure hope i am not up there when the snow flies

I think I better clarify that last post. I hit 119 from the ground. Went up on the roof a little while ago and the 119 is no where to be found with the little dish. I picked a very bad spot for the big dish I guess, no other explanation. I did get the HD module in my HD unit and the q went up to 95+ on all sats. I am convinced that I am on the arc. Still not sure about the linear issue but since 123W went away I guess it really doesn't matter. When I put the NEXT motorized dish up on the house I have a way better line of site west so I think it will not be a big deal to get everything up there. (Notice that I am WAY too confident now) I am going to wait a while one that one though to give everyone a breather TILL THE NEXT ONE
Seriously though. I can't tell anyone who is going to try this to PLEASE do a proper site survey. Had I done this then I bet this thread would have been half as long.
Thanks to ALL the great help and understanding along this long and sometimes painful journey. This is what makes this sire and the members second to no other.
I appreciate all the help more than I could ever type in this post.
YOU all ROCK.

I am going to sticky this thread. There is a lot of good information here and I hate to see it get lost in the shuffle. The thread gets a little off topic a few times but overall I think that some members would benefit from the knowledge here.
