one more question, reading back though this short thread of ours, you said the guy throw in a sw21 in the deal. is that what your using or are you using a disqec sw?
i started to question you on this but assumed you knew what you were doing. now i have never used a sw21 and also i wanted to know what your settings would be.
i found this post about switches, from Chonki, that seems to explain it real well.

Lnb And Switch Combinations
i would replace the sw21 with a disqec 2x1 or 4x1

I have an sw21 switch. I thought that is what I needed for this setup. I have one on my other setup because I am using 2 different dishes. I thought that if I was using 2 different lnb's that I would need this switch. It is a combination LNB with both linear and circular built in. Maybe I just need to change out the switch. He he....knew what I was doing???? Man I am flying by the seat of my pants at best.
Think this is my problem? When I go to a sat that is linear I select sw21 dish 2 (that is what port the linear is set up on) and if it is a circular sat I use sw21 dish 1 for that.
Thanks for the help brother,
BigBee

i knew i should have questioned this back when you first received your dish, than we would have BG's imput also. thats what we get i assume, Sorry.
still this begs the question about adding a motorized dish with a stantionary multi lnb dish using a sw21 like what BG had asked about.

I sure am going to feel like a tool if that is all that my problem is. If I look down the arm that holds my LNB on it seems to have a clear line of site for the most part. Maybe that is what part of the puzzle that I am missing. I will look for that switch and try to get it put on tomorrow before the rain set in. I will post back after I do some more testing.
Once again...I really appreciate the help, ( I need all I can get)

sounds good but check in the morning to see what BG might have to say also.
just remember with these offset dishes you need clear line of site to the top of the dish.

Just came in the house and checked out my switch drawer. I have a brand spanking new Chieta 4X1 switch even thought that is the least reliable switch that Chonki talked about that is all I have. Looks like I will be trying that out soon....
