Any help to get this unit working again, just found it under a pile of stuff.

where is the software that will work with the classic....is this is not the " Ultra" unit, the face and back of the unit in the link you sent me is different??

I am asumming that this works for the "Classic" unit as well. Are they the same

in the instruction posted earlier it asks to "extract the rar files using winrar???? inside is a proram called gtools as well as stb updater.... were is this stuff

go to www.download.com and download winrar32 or winrar31 this work and is free.

cables
correct me if I am wrong, but you have to use a different cable to download proran to a Fortec Star Lifetime Classic (straight thru RS-232) as opposed to the cable I use for my Viewsat ( pins 2 and 3 cross)??
