I have a new Sonicview 360 Premiere reciever. A dish 500 dish with a new sonicview dual LNB (.3 db; Anik F3 118.7&119)-info off the box. It came with a USB stick.
How do I get up and running? I keep reading things about having a computer connected to the reciever, but my laptop doesn't have a connection that matches the cable that came with the reciever.
And if I connect a computer, then what's the USB stick for?
Thanks for any help.

I've been looking at the price of the Phoenix and now it's looking like they may be a bit out of my reach as my budget doesn't allow for a $209 box plus another $150 for the network system. My question is, is there a cheaper NFusion receiver that is working right now that is less than $200? At this point I don't really care about the type of video outputs it has, just as long as it is working. The Phoenix just ain't gonna cut it, too expensive for my budget unless someone knows where I could get one for less than $200. I've already cheked Fleabay, still too much.

I'm getting a Phoenix soon but I'm a little concerned about how I'm going to connect it to my internet. I am using Cricket broadband witch uses a USB modem that must be plugged up to the computer to access the internet. Would I have to get a wireless router and receiver to connect the Phoenix to my computer so it can access the internet, or is there another way to do it without having to leave my computer on and connected to the internet 24 hours a day? Like I said now, I have to have the modem plugged into the computer and connected to the Cricket network in order to access the internet. I just need to know the best way to hook up the Nfusion to make it work correctly. Need some advice before I purchase this thing, I would like to get everything I need in one shot, so If I need to purchase the wireless network system also, I want to get all of it together, and what would be the best wireless network system to use with the Phoenix?

I'm going to switch to NFusion in another month or so. I just wanted to know one last detail before I do. I know it has to be connected to the internet to work, my question is, I'm sure it has to log into some WebSite or something to work, now, do I have to "pay" for access to this "secret" website that the box accesses? I mean, if I have to pay for access to the boxes programming, then what's the point, might as well just go to a paid sub.

I'm tired of seeing in the bottom right hand cormer of the screen everybodies LOGOS, I don't care if its for copyright or the law, I don't want to see them anymore. And they are also getting bigger with advertisments and what coming up etc.
My question is .......is there a device that can be connected somewhere in between the dish and the DN box or the DN box and the tv that will strip away the sub carrier that has this infomation on it?

I have tried several times to get assistance with my Visonmax's but have never received any help from anyone. That saddens me because I have now been without Tv for more than four momths and that is enough. since I seem to have waisted my money on this site without any help, what-so-ever, I guess i'll have to return to paid TV. Which is what I was trying to get away from. Guess you have to be an insiderf to get assistance. I bought a `Life Membership" and did NOT receive the assistanceI neded and requestd. I will have a VSMAXHD, Visonmax Ultra, and a P:anmax for sale. The VSMAXHD has ner been on. Sir Ben
