If you find one channel working, check the frequency it's on. Other channels on the same frequency may come in. Also, try changing the frequency up one level or down one level. This may get the channel to come in. If you change channels, you may have to reset the frequency when you go back to the channel you "chirped". Like BG stated, this is more for "testers" with a fair amount of experience, novices will have a tough time. There are no set instructions for doing this, this is "real" testing! It's damned rewarding, though! Finally got to watch some TV LOL!

I have made no changes to my system as BG said use last working file....since the loss of channels 241 thru 248 I have had 213 (nasa) 262 (Angelone) and 280 (ion) but they would disappear after changing channels and then be back on later etc... my 8 yr old showed me to just turn off sat with "remote only" pause briefly and they would return when you turned sat back on.....using the channel list that was posted I found that channel 281 ******** 7 (cartoon network) and channel 281 ******** 10-11 (the N) so as of right now I have 5 channels.


SO...

281 ******** 7 is 12487 and 20000 tp freq 12224
281 ******** 10-11 is 12486 and 20000 tp freq 12224

so we substitute tp freq 12516 for 12224 and see what happens...I will try this once the wife and little girl go to bed, but in the meantime ....any brave souls out there

thanks bg and ddd for keeping us up to date
but the best thing about this isnt being able to watch alittle tv its that they are making great effort toward n3
no mater how small the progress is
its still progress
(not saying this info is small progress just saying im thankful for the progress no matter how small)

Going to bed...... tried suggestions from other sites.....first I did a blind scan to get duplicate stations from both sats....eq had two 151 VS channels one from 10,11 and one from echo7. each with different TP's etc. I was able to get the one listed in guide from 10,11 sat for 10secs before pic cut out. (cage match was on) their is a way to do it but I'am too fricken tired right now. If anyone can add their procedure before i can get on it a little more inorder to post it for you guy's then please by all means post your steps. Hopefully I will have more time tomorrow or weekend to have more info about it(if it will actually work for more then 10secs). Also remember to turn auto tp off or it will not work.......plus you will only get 10 stations. I'm looking at creating 2 new sat entries for 110w and 119w with mod TP's and scan those to make chirp easier as it will look like you have 4sats (when all sats is selected) even though there is still actually two. Like I sais i will post any further success on weekend if no-one posts before then...nite all......P.S. works on other boxes not just viewsat. But can only get short pic duration 15-20secs so far....

Coders were well awhere of the occaisional quick pick and sound when certain channels were changed rapidly... over a week ago they posted articles on it. This does not mean anything at the moment but the post of their findings on this raised a few eyebrows....

what are you trying to say ml, do you feel the coders are trying to expresses a certain degree of doom in the FTA world?
