They released info yesterday that read:

"5/13 8000, 8100, ebox, homesat are up. 5/13 6100, 7000, 7100, IV200 + 300 were ready but newest ECM knocked out"

Seems auful funny to me that with all latest ECM's all CS boxes were knocked out, that is when all CS boxes were up and running at same time (I know that is hard to remember when). I find it hard to believe that newest ECM knocked out unreleased 6100, 7000, IV200 + 300 and yet the 8000, 8100, ebox, homesat all remained up???

It just amuses me to keep seeing the s**t these guys are shoveling. It is becoming quite comical / pathetic actually. I find myself waiting to see the next BS story these guys realease - the suspense is great.

I agree somewhat...I think at this time in fta, N Fusion definitely has they're sh*t together though. Just my opinion. Plus I really don't know much about the VS stb.
But in my opinion nfusion is the way to go. Good luck!

vs has there sh*t together for sure and if i had to make a guess i would say that they will come thru the n3 ordeal with flying colors.i have nothing but good things to say about viewsat.

Hey Poolnet, you are exactly correct. Nfusion definitely has it together. I have a sonicview and nfusion. Both have top notch support. Fartinmartin (gotta love that username) states that Viewsat has great support as well, I have heard that. I only mentioned SV and Nfusion because I have them and know that they work and are supported excellent. Nothing against Viewsat or other brands at all.
Nfusion needs higher speed internet access. I do not know if they are effective with low speed internet connections or not? Being in the internet business for 20+ years now, I do know a huge percent of internet users do not have higher speed connections. However, I if you havea high speed internet connection then Nfusion is a no brainer.
My SV 4000 has not missed a beat either, and does not need internet. I have read that many other boxes work good and are supported good as well. My overall point is that people should consider ANYTHING other than Coolsat or any other stb's that NORW-GROUP supports. We now know that, Nfusion, Sonicview, and Viewsats should be considered.

i dont disagree with anything that you said satseeker.i am amazed at all the people that are hanging in there with cs.i jumped ship along time ago and havnt looked back.i really only come to the cs section to read the crazy/angry posts.misery loves company.cs was a top player in this game and it really is sad what has come of them. im not sure why people wont drop a buck and a half on a new box instead of bitchin,it is not a lot of money in this day and age and honestly that was a tank and a half of gas in my truck at last years prices.it would be neat to somehow take a poll of cs users that have switched over to another stb.

Like you Bruhub, I jumped ship a long time ago. I had a 4000, 5000, 2-6000's, and a 6100. I only had two 6000's because I gave a family member the 4000 and I bought the 6000 & 6100 just as the poop hit the fan. I now use Nfusion and SV units. Might even fool around a get a Viewsat after N3. And yes, CS was the best out there at one time and it is a shame at what happened to them.
Most people that I have seen post crazy/angry posts are those who just purchased for thier first time. They purchased and asked questions without reading "how to do's", then they find out what is going on and POW = crazy/angry posts.
Like Bruhub, I am convinced EVERYONE SHOULD switch to a different stb (GET A DIFFERENT BRAND) Check out Nfusion, Sonicview, Viewsat, just to name a few..

I've been using the fta boxes for 7 years now. I started with PANSAT and moved to a Coolsat. The 4,5,6 and 6100. As we all know, things change and they will change again when the top supported units will move to the bottom and the bottom supported unites will move to the top again. 3 units to have is Nfusion, viewsat and Coolsat. These 3 units should complete the cycle.
