I have a captain 8000hd is there any way I can turn it into a clone?

Why would you want to ever turn any box into a clone??? A clone is simply a knock off of a real brand name receiver....

Well because it's not working right and I can't find the right answer on how to fix it I have been posting asking questions since the end of jan and no one can help me the box says invalid no matter what file I upload so I figured if I coverted the box atleast it would or could work!! This was my post on what is wrong with my box and I have had no problems with it until now my nfusion works great I just need to use something in my room that doesnt have to be on the net to work unless there is anyway to fix this one I am kinda of stuck

OUI Number is not valid for this STB?

Any file that I try to download says OUI Number is not valid for this STB how can I fix this>?? Also how do you use the captain loader via usb cable I am really confussed

factory reset, factory file then latest is all i can suggest.

I have tried that about 100 times it always says the same thing ! But I can edit the keys if I do them manually but It won't take any file I try to use how long does the warranty last on a captain box and are they good about fixing them

are you doing this with the cable an not the usb

I have tried the usb that is when I get the error message but when I try to use loader 1.26 I have tried using that and I can't get it to talk to the box and this cord works fine with my other fta boxs any ideas

If you Find yourself stuck on boot mode or ---- as a display and the receiver is not responding
Please follow the steps below and with some luck you will be fine

1 ) First Off Unplug the receiver and let it sit for 5 minutes

2 ) While you are waiting for that, download the latest Captain 8000 HD Factory flash

3 ) Download Latest Captain Loader

4 ) After the 5 minutes connect the receiver to your PC using the Null Modem Cable And open Captain_Loader_v1.25

5 ) Select your serial port and select file. The file you are selecting will be Captain 8000 HD Factory flash

6 ) Toggle the receiver power On And Wait for Upload to the receiver commences. If you are lucky it will start almost immediately. If not and you get no error message Wait for a few minutes as it is trying to comunicate with the receiver.
If After a few minutes ( 5 ) there is still no progress bar flip the power toggle on the back On and Off and wait For a few seconds If you see No Progress Bar Do the last step again Flip The power On and Off
With some Luck and Hope You will see the progress bar and your Receiver is writing the Factory Bin

7 ) Wait Until The Receiver has completely rebooted itself

8 ) Once rebooted do a factory Default

9 ) Turn the Power Off with the Power Toggle On the back

10 ) Download a fresh copy of the Latest bin Captain 8000 Files

11 ) Format your USB Stick FAT or FAT32

12 ) Extract the latest File to your desktop

13 ) Drag and drop the .bin file to our USB Stick ( wait till it is completely transferred to your USB )

14 ) Insert The USB into your Captain8000HD and Power the receiver up using the Power Toggle on the back of the receiver

15 ) When the receiver has completely rebooted it will have a popup screen asking if you would like to Upgrade to the latest file Select OK with the remote. Wait Until it has completely Loaded and rebooted itself before pulling the USB stick out

The Box isnt stuck in boot mode or on any display I can change channels access all menus and anything else ! The problem occurs only when I am trying to update the software When I try using loader 1.25 It just sits there I have let it just sit there for one hour after booting my box up and no luck
