I am not sure if you asked in the right forum.

What kind of stb do you have?

If it is an Nfusion I really do not know what you meant with JTAG.

Please explain.

on the board of the std there is a nine pin male connection that you can connect a cable via printer port, so you can write to the emprom directly

So you are talking about the serial to modem cable connection.

Yes you can update it like so.

Why would you want to do this when you can use the remote control to upgrad to bin file 148?

Please let us know

Please confirm what stb brand are you talking about.

The Nfusion Nova can only be updated three diff ways:

Null cable
Webloader
Remote control through server online

Nothing else works for this stb

Nope that is not made by nfusion

That is a cheap clone receiver.

I knew there was something weird.
That stb regardless of what the person that sold it to you says is not an nfusion or made by them..
