How To Load Your New Captiveworks CW-650S With USB Drive

How To Load Your New Captiveworks CW-650S With USB Drive

Entering the SERIAL NUMBER into the CaptiveWorks CW650

With the rear power switch off, turn over the receiver and carefully write down the serial number, should look similar to “CW7S123456789“, carefully VERIFY the copied number.
Return the receiver to it's upright position and plug in USB memory stick with the current program on it and power up the receiver.

The below are done with the remote control.

Push and release "STB"

Push and release "USB"

A "USB" Screen will pop up with a list of programs on the USB Memory stick.

Using Arrows UP/DN carefully select the correct program and OK

Screen asks "Do you want to update the software/database?" Using the right arrow select "Yes" and "OK"

Let the receivers display count down on the display until the displays says "-End"

The display asks "Do You want to reboot the receiver" using arrow Right select "Yes"` and "OK".

A new screen will pop up asking you to enter the serial number. The number display area is very faint at the bottom of the screen. Using the previously written down serial number, using the remote controls numerical keys you enter the last 9 digits or start at the 5th character from the left in this example "123456789" would be used. These numbers will appear at the bottom of the screen, if you make a mistake with a digit entry you can use arrow left to go back. When all digits are entered, you verify and "OK". The receiver will ask you to repeat the serial number input, repeat it, and "OK". If done correctly you should now be watching TV.
