Not so much the permanant solution, as it is a way to keep their customer base and generate some cash flow to go towards a permanate fix. The only thing that worries me, is how do they keep themselves secure? Sure, the end-user would be untracable, but that lnb is pointed at a bird owned by somebody, and that is easy to trace. And when they "ask" the owners of that sat freq. "who is leasing this freq. and where is the feed based from?", the owners will have to tell them. And last, the owners of that sat, if they under US jurisdiction, will be leasing their freq. to an illegal activity, and it wouldn't take long for that to get shut down. It just seems to raise SO many security issues not for the end user but for CW, which will effect the end user to say the least. I hope it is true and it does work reliably, if this is the case it will be MORE than a workaround, it might just be a viable next step for fta. But There will have to be some issues addressed first for many to get on board. We'll just have to see. BG

I guess you have been out of town for a couple of months? Just read the posts in the Thread you hyjacked. There is no fix yet for CW receivers. There may never be one but I hope there is. You need to read the posts under the n2news Announcements section. You will then be able to answer your own question.

I think hijacking is worse and rude. Asking the same question which has been answered over and over is just plain lazy.
