Looking to buy

I've been looking at the price of the Phoenix and now it's looking like they may be a bit out of my reach as my budget doesn't allow for a $209 box plus another $150 for the network system. My question is, is there a cheaper NFusion receiver that is working right now that is less than $200? At this point I don't really care about the type of video outputs it has, just as long as it is working. The Phoenix just ain't gonna cut it, too expensive for my budget unless someone knows where I could get one for less than $200. I've already cheked Fleabay, still too much.

i dont know what kind of network system you are buying but a 25 dollar linksys wireless router works great.you have to run a cat 5 cable from your box to the router but it is cheap and so is the cable

you can buy a solaris for about $180 anywhere, don't buy from unarthurized dealer, phatsatellite.com is a great place to buy.

That's a little better, as for the network, I have to get a wireless because otherwise I have to run a cable all the from one end of the house to the other, this is mainly due to the type of internet I have. But I will keep checking around for cheaper wireless networks. The solaris may be a better and cheaper way for me to go. Thanks for the info.

Try a search on a NanostationLoco2 around $60 but it can reach out and find a network up to 5 miles away! Money well spent!

I have a set of powerline adapters that I bought from fleabay for 55 bucks WITH shipping. That is an easy way to go and a lot easier to set up then wireless.

All *starwhole *sale have open box solaris/phoenix for 170/200. If you already have internet access in house and issue is to extend it near to your TV, I would recommend powerline adapters. Pair of those should be around 60-80. Definetely pulling a cat5 cable would be the cheapest way to do this. A pre made 100ft cable will be less than 20 bucks.

Going wireless will still require a device near your stb to covert it back to rj45 for NF, which will bring it's own challenges and may not be cost effective.

Anything I discuss on the subject is strictly hypothetical and in theory, and on an educational basis. I DO NOT test or condone any illegall activity.
