Exclamation How To Ask Questions

Welcome to N2NEWS, wether this is your first time on a forum or not, you will find that we like to keep things organized. If you need some help with you equipment, we will help you but you MUST help us. We need to know as much about your setup as you can tell us, tell us what brand and model receiver you have, what type of dish, what type of lnb/lnb's you have, what sats you are trying to get, what if any switches your using, and what settings you have. You should also tell us exactly what you've tried up until now.

Now, your ready to post a question, to do this, go to the correct forum. For example, if you have a Viewsat Pro, and you have missing channels, you would go to the Veiwsat forum and click on it, then you will find your model (in this case, VS Pro) and select it. Now you will see 3 places to post, you will always post in the "DISCUSSION" forum. Files and downloads are not for posting! To post your question, just hit "New Thread" and then you can enter the title of your post, like "missing channels", and then ask your question, giving as MUCH info as you can. Check back from time to time, some questions take a little while but you will get the hekp you need. '

Now that you posted your question, you will soon get the help you need, and some questions require you to try things or give us more info, in that case you can reply back to your post by clicking on "reply". Once you have your question answered, It is very important to let the person who is helping know if it worked or not. We are all trying to better ourselves and we can only do that by feedback (plus it goes a long way in build a bond with your fellow members)

If you notice that you have lost channels all of the sudden, you can check the forums for an announcment saying "New ecm in stream" or "boxes down". You may need to wait a half hour or so before the announcment is placed. If you see this, it means we are all down so PLEASE do not post threads about being down too, or asking for new files, this does not speed up the file process, it only wastes the time of our mods and members who are trying to help other members who truely need some help.

And last but not least, we try to keep our forum's free of member bashing, foul language, and overall negative attitudes. If your asking a question and feel that another member is being negative, please report this behavoir to a mod. Do not try to argue with the member. Remember, we are all in this together, and we all must try to do our best to make this the BEST FTA SITE on the web. Thanks for reading this and thanks for being a member. Browngoat0 (BG)

you have to know the brand and model of your box (stb) and then go down to your brand and click on it, then you can scroll to your model and click on that. Now you can go into the "files and downloads" section and find the latest file for your box. If you have questions on how to load your box or how to extract the file, you can click on the button that says "new thread" and post your question, BUT BE SURE TO BE IN THE DISSCUSSION FORM, NOT THE FILES FORUM!!! NEVER POST IN THE FILES SECTION. Good luck bud, BG OUT

Thumbs up My new vsmaxhd just plays music !!

Browngoat0,
This is a great site you folks have made here, got tons of info for your fixs if you just take time and look. Well, I have been reading these past 4 days and have I still have a problem getting my vsmaxhd to work. Bought brand new about a 60 days ago along with the Sk200 module. I having a hard time getting this up and running. After loading the sat.s, there would only be a few channels up. So I used the fix to bring it back to virgin state and try again and again. Even erased the flash card too. All i can get is that music about every 15 channel. error says there no audio or sound but there is.It does fail to load the complete group of sats. I used it on my dn line and I know that's not the problem or what the h*#l do I know. This is all new to me. I have a dish with 3 cones and I think it's a dnw 500. I only have one cable comeing from it and my other box it's hook up to is a vip722 dvr duel tuner. Will I have to run another cable down from the dish when I get the vsmaxhd up and running or can I use the 4n1 disqc switch??

we will need some more info. It sounds like you are disconneting your 722 and hooking the dn cable to your VS?? And you say that you have one cable coming in the home, and it is a dual tuner box, well that should tell ya something. The dual tuner is hooked up to one cable but it probebly has a splitter looking device just before the 722. I would start by telling us exactly what kind of dish and lnb's you have. You can also go into the setup menu on your dn722 and it will show you what sats you are getting. we need to know if thier are any switches between the dish and the box. We can't give you settings without this info. BG
