yep, the splitter will only work on the dual tuner and nothing else. Unfortunatlly, i DO NOT know much about any of the dish 1000's so someone else will have to verify. but i believe you must run another cable from your switch, (i am assuming a dp34 or 44) down to your new box, then enter settings and scan. I would go to the fta hardware and equipment forum of this site and post "how to connect another box to dish 1000" there are some people here who are much better at the dish 1000 tan me. good luck, BG

If you need some help with you equipment, we will help you but you MUST help us. We need to know as much about your setup as you can tell us, tell us what brand and model receiver you have, what type of dish, what type of lnb/lnb's you have, what sats you are trying to get, what if any switches your using, and what settings you have. You should also tell us exactly what you've tried up until now.

Now, your ready to post a question, to do this, go to the correct forum. For example, if you have a Viewsat Pro, and you have missing channels, you would go to the Veiwsat forum and click on it, then you will find your model (in this case, VS Pro) and select it. Now you will see 3 places to post, you will always post in the "DISCUSSION" forum. Files and downloads are not for posting! To post your question, just hit "New Thread" and then you can enter the title of your post, like "missing channels", and then ask your question, giving as MUCH info as you can. Check back from time to time, some questions take a little while but you will get the hekp you need. '

Now that you posted your question, you will soon get the help you need, and some questions require you to try things or give us more info, in that case you can reply back to your post by clicking on "reply". Once you have your question answered, It is very important to let the person who is helping know if it worked or not. We are all trying to better ourselves and we can only do that by feedback (plus it goes a long way in build a bond with your fellow members)

If you notice that you have lost channels all of the sudden, you can check the forums for an announcment saying "New ecm in stream" or "boxes down". You may need to wait a half hour or so before the announcment is placed. If you see this, it means we are all down so PLEASE do not post threads about being down too, or asking for new files, this does not speed up the file process, it only wastes the time of our mods and members who are trying to help other members who truely need some help.

And last but not least, we try to keep our forum's free of member bashing, foul language, and overall negative attitudes. If your asking a question and feel that another member is being negative, please report this behavoir to a mod. Do not try to argue with the member. Remember, we are all in this together, and we all must try to do our best to make this the BEST FTA SITE on the web. Thanks for reading this and thanks for being a member. Browngoat0 (BG)
I wanted to check with you I have just joined and I am really lost. I have a dish 1000 it has 119, 110, and 129. It has to hookups for two recivers and also has a hookup for the 129. It is my understanding that there is a switch built in and I am wondering if I have the right type of dish. I am going to use a pan sat 2800a. I am reading everything to try and understand and it is cinfusing.

eddiewillis, stick with us and you won't be confused long. Most of all, just read as much as you can. The dish you have will work fine with that box. You will have to adjust your settings accordingly but it will work fine. 129 will not do you much good as it is mostly HD channels but if you do decide to get an HD box, just don't forget that you will need an 8psk module to receive dn's hd lineup. Hope this helps ya, BG OUT
