Can it be jtaged?

I see that some Arizas can be jtaged and become a pansat clone. Can you do this to a extreme? I have one that I got for free and want to play with it but dont know what I can do with it. I see that there are no files for it.

If I brick it there is no loss since it was free.

Not the Extreme to a Pansat. You can do the 700 to Pansat. Extreme can me converted to a Homesat.

Ariza Extreme

I also have an Ariza Extreme thats been collecting dust but if I could use it as a homesat that would be fantastic. How do I get the receiver to work again and what files would I need to get it up and running. Thanks

All the information I found says it needs a new chip in it. I can not find the chip anywhere. I am fairly good at soldering but that is a useless skill if you do not have any thing to solder in.
