Here is the latest version of my Bin Modifier/Loader program.

All the previously posted instructions still apply to the new version.

Additions in new release:

1) increased timeout to address error thrown when loading 2700Clone or Ariza boxes. I would appreciate feedback regarding this change to verify that the problem has been remedied.

2) Added Ack contents, both expected and received in Ack Error message

3) Added support for older bins, with Remote Control selection when necessary

4) Hopefully fixed the intermittent need to click the ModBin button more that once. I would like some feedback on this as well.

Note: for some of the older bins the Ariza conversion may not be successful. This is due to the difference in the remote control code in the older Pansat 2700 bins. If you are running a converted Ariza and you feel the need to try one of these older bins I suggest you just use one of the old Ariza bins. I am not going to worry about supporting these older files for Ariza boxes as there are original Ariza bins that were available back then.

For all other boxes the old bins should all work just fine using this version. Now when I say older bins I mean those bins that are 896Kb in size. There are really old bins that are smaller and they will not be supported, ever. I have tested various older bins up to and including, bin 215 released 29Sept2007. This is the bin that contained the a/r 'time bomb' code, which my program successfully detects and removes from the bin.

Finally, I really enjoy and rely on receiving feedback on my program. I don't mind answering questions that users might have. However I do mind answering questions that I have written the answers to either in the help page contained in the program or in one of the dialog boxes that one would have to have encountered in order to pose the question. Bottom line here is if you encounter a problem please make sure that you read the help page and read all the message boxes that appear on the screen. If you have read all that material and still cannot find the answer to your question then please by all means ask me in this thread and I will be sure to answer you. If however you ask a question to which the answer is contained in the help or the dialog boxes then I will either tell you to go back and read or will simply not reply to you. Also please do not send me Private Messages asking questions that could be posted in this thread. If you are having a problem and the answer is not contained in the help page or message box text then it would benefit everyone to have that question posted in open forums so that others may read your question and also the response. This way I don't have to address the same questions repeatedly.
