Anyone who has a ****, do I need a RS232 serial data cable?

I have a question about the network cable that is not included?

I am thinking of a HL105E Ethernet Powerline Adapter 85 Mbps(pair) for the ****.

I have have the SonicView 8000HD in one of the bedrooms with no internet access. I have the computer with the Linksys Router in the office.

Does any know is the Ethernet Powerline Adapter is compatable with the Linksys Router? With the Ethernet Powerline Adapter would use the electric wiring in the house to have internet connection in the bedroom where the SonicView is located.
Is this correct?

Does the Ethernet Powerline Adapter come with a Ethernet cable? Would I need Qty 2 Ethernet cables. One Ethernet cable would go to the Linksys Router to the Powerline adapter plug. Would I need to to purchase another Ethernet cabe for the **** that goes to the other Ethernet Powerline Adapter plug that plugs in the wall where the SonicView 8000HD is located?

Any one that has Ethernet Poweline Adapter, was is hard to hook up to the Linksys Router. Does the Ethernet Powerline Adapter come with a CD to configure it with the Linksys Router?

Is the network cable that is not included with the ****, the Ethernet cable?

Please explain what I need for the ****?

Thanks

to answer this , all depends where your router is in relation to the svbox and tv.

my setup finally last week has been suscessfully working w/the **** been up since black thu.
hope this all helps?/

i have the **** pluged right io the stbs com port, then out to my router w/cat5.
if you need to add more cable to your router, then you might want to useia serial cable to strech the cable run to your router.then you can see the send & rx lights on the ****, depends on the installation ,thats
all , nothing special.if you WANT to use a serial cable, but be careful not to use the NULL cable that came w/ the sonicview rx when you first purchased it.things will not work.

purchase the **** here n2news,, great price, great tech support is here and this keeps this web site running

when you recieve your ****, just follow the instructions here, this is very easy in setting up , .

enjoy
