I am not sure what this IHub is exactly. I think the word ethernet has something to do with coaxial cable??? Would someone help me with this serial to ethernet phrase???

Also, I am reading that the IHub has to be connected with the internet at all times??? If our internet is dial up, are we just S.O.L.???
