Are the latest Sonicview FTA Keys available?

If your Sonicview receiver stopped working, you may need a new set of keys.   If you have a high end Sonicview 360 Elite FTA Receiver, and there is no reason that you shouldn’t, then you may need working DISH FTA KEYS.

• Step 1- Check our member forum for the latest bin file.  The bin files usually solve the problem acting as a type of “Key Grabber”.   Once you have the correct bin the FTA Receiver from Sonicview will rip they fta keys from the satellite automatically.
• Step 2- If the above didn’t work, the specific forum for your receiver (the 360 Elite for example) will offer additional information on how to manually enter the 0101 or 0106 keys that you need to get signal decryption working.
• Step 3- Using the menu on your receiver you can type the Charlie Idea Keys (another way to say dish fta keys) that you see one the site

Do you need new FTA keys?  Are you looking for the Latest FTA Keys?

Depending on the region you live in and the type of hardware you have, you may need one or more of the Latest FTA Keys.

The keys you are looking for are always listed as a series of numbers, although they may not look like it.  The numbers for the latest and freshest fta keys are shown in hexadecimal.    That means you will see each number displayed with 2 digits or letters A-F.    You should also be looking for your service provider and the code ID.  For example, Dish 0101 or ExpressVu 0906.

What are FTA key grabbers?

In order to understand what a key grabber is (sometimes called a Keygrabber as one word)  you need to understand what FTA Keys are.   Your FTA receiver is able to tune certain stations by decrypting the signal provided by the DBA company.   In order to unlock the secret video stream, the FTA Receiver needs to know a key or FTA keys as they are sometimes called.   Many technologies exist that allow the receiver to decode the key automatically, however, that isn’t the only answer.

PC Software solves this problem with a Keygrabber (or Key grabber).  These programs connect to a variety of different internet websites to download the latest decryption codes that are required to process the hidden video signals.   Some examples of Keygrabber software include:

KeyUpdate v8 – This software is able to grab both of the import keys from a number of different sites including the most popular directories.

KeyRipper – Works but not very well.   Try another one.

Keymaster 3 – This works great, grabs the keys and does everything you expect from automatic keygrabbing software for FTA receivers.   There server, however, gets busy during an ECM and my not respond right away.

Rom 10x KeyGrabber v1.0 – A very simple program that does what it says it does.  This may be your best choice if you are looking for software that automatically downloads the correct encryption keys for FTA decoding.

There may be better ways to update your key so before you take the time to learn these programs, look at the forum for your specific hardware.

What is the difference between a Key Ripper and a Key Grabber?

To find the difference between software that acts like a Key Ripper and software that works as a Key Grabber I installed both.

To start with, I’m testing KeyRipper 3.1 from DssEvolution.com.  The Key Ripper program, written in 2005, is still very popular according to many websites.   So, is this key ripper software worth the hassle? No way.    KeyRipper is really another way to say Key Grabber except these programs do much less if they work at all.

Is there a better way to get new and fresh fta keys than using a key ripper such as KeyRipper v3.1 from DssEvolution?  Sure there is.   The boards here always have the latest keys and there is no software you need to install to access them.
